We are headed for surgery tomorrow so yesterday we took the kids to a park about an hour from here that has lots of little fun things to do. The kids got to ride a train, a carousel, do a little gem mining, check out a few barnyard animals, and watch their Daddy try to attack every yellow jacket in the park in an attempt to keep Mom safe! It was a typical NC summer day and the water pad was closed so that was a little disappointing, but we drank lots of water and managed to find shade every once in a while.
This is his smile! He loves the carousel and is used to riding the one up at Tweetsie. He jumped off of this one and asked where the Ferris wheel was!
This face just makes me smile no matter what is happening.
The serious boater! He got off and said, "That was so much pun" but he did not crack a smile once!
Going gem mining, or in his case, splashing in the water.
And our usual pose of, "what is this mess on my hands and how do I get it off."
No Tweetsie, but he did manage to find a train to drive.
