Big Stuff

I know this just looks like the ordinary so very cute boy, but this is some big stuff going on.  Those two pretzels in his mouth are three months in the happening.  Introducing new food to Little Man is a process.  It looks sorta like this....

1.  It goes on his plate and he tries to sit as far away from his plate as he can.

2.  It goes on his plate and he actually sits like a normal boy.

3.  It goes on his plate and he will pick it up and put it in his special "bad food" bowl.

4.  It goes on his plate and he will lick it and then put it in his special bowl.

5.  It goes on his plate and he will hold it in his mouth and then put it in his special bowl.

6.  It goes on his plate and he will chew it!!

7.  Before it can go on his plate, he will ask for it.

The process listed above takes months, and this is introducing food that is in his favorite texture, which is crunchy.  But, this is the first food we have moved through the entire process and found success.  Being able to see that this process does actually work is encouraging.  Now we move on to tackle something else.  Someday I will serve this precious little boy a pb&j with apple slices...some day.
