Growing up

I think with your last kid you always do things a little slower than you did for the first one because you realize that instead of this being a process you will get to do again this is your last chance.  We moved the princess from her crib when she was 18 months old.   Today as Little Man approaches his 29th month we finally bit the bullet and moved him from his crib.

With Little Man everything is a process so we actually started this process about 10 days ago with picking out the bed, then picking out sheets, then just looking at sheets for a few days and talking about being a big boy, to dismantling the crib, to surviving the drill that put together his new bed, to testing it, to taking his first nap, and finally right now tucked in sleeping tight in his big boy bed!

Helping Dad take the crib apart, Little Man is a screw pro!

And he also can handle an allen wrench quite well

This was the test drive under the dump trucks.

And this was naptime.  The ball in his hands is always there.

In case you were paying attention you noticed that Little Man is wearing the same pajamas in several of the last posts.  He has attached himself to his "fiber truck" jammies and wears them every night and often most of the day.  While he likes fire trucks the true love with these pajamas is the three buttons on them that he can unbutton himself.  He is proud as a peacock that he can get them undone and will happily do it repeatedly over and over and over and over and over........
